Biography

Alison joined Henley Business School in 2011as an Associate Professor in Accounting and Financial Management. She teaches Financial Accounting and Reporting, Financial Management and Corporate Finance at Undergraduate, Masters and MBA level. She is currently the Programme Director for the full time MBA.

Alison is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and has eight years’ experience in practice working for PwC and fifteen years’ experience in global financial education.

Programme Delivery

Module convenor of the Introduction to Accounting, Financial Accounting and Reporting and Financial Management modules on the BA Accounting and Business programme. These three undergraduate modules are accredited by the professional body, the Institute for Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Corporate Activity

  • Consultancy work involving the design and delivery of finance programmes for UBS, Deutsche Bank, Shell, Heinz, British Airways, Wolseley, Costain, William Hill, and the CIPD.
  • Co-author of Shareholder value published by the Financial Times and several Good Practice Guides for the ICAEW on Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Options and Business Valuation.
