Christine van Winkelen has been part of the management team of the Henley Forum for Organisational Learning and Knowledge Strategies (previously the Henley KM Forum) since its inception in 2000. She was the KM Forum Director from 2003 to 2009 and has been active in leading research projects each year. The projects broadly relate to organisational learning and ways in which organisations can take a strategic approach to managing their knowledge and building capability to improve performance. They involve working with groups of practitioners from multiple industries and sectors and Christine is skilled at ensuring that the research delivers practical benefits to participants, as well as being academically rigorous. Recent projects have used the action research methodology where new ideas are explored and tested in organisations as the basis for generating understanding and insights.
Christine teaches on MBA modules and executive education courses. She has written two books and many papers and book chapters. She speaks regularly at conferences and works in partnership with executive teams to improve organisational performance.
Before joining Henley, Christine worked in a variety of roles at Nortel, Motorola and GEC.
