Profile

Kenneth’s PhD research looks at the role and potential of housing financial innovation via the collateralization of pension assets (i.e. pension asset-backed loans) in expanding mortgage markets in developing economies. Specific issues of interest include the risks, pricing, efficiency and sustainability of pension-backed loans as well as their attractions in the portfolio of institutional investors. Kenneth holds an MPhil in Planning Growth and Regeneration from the University of Cambridge; BSc (Hons) Land Economy; Advanced Executive Certificate in Project Management and a Certificate in Securities from the Ghana Stock Exchange.

Kenneth is a promising academic with experience in teaching and research. He worked as a Facilitator at the Institute of Distance Learning of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he taught Real Estate Investment Analysis at the Masters level. Kenneth also worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Land Economy (KNUST) between 2011 and 2012. Prior to starting his PhD, Kenneth worked with a team of international consultants commissioned by the Chartered Institute of Building – Ghana to develop a framework for the establishment of the proposed Construction Industry Development Agency (CIDA) to regulate construction work in Ghana. His industrial experience stems from consultancy works for MeTis Brokers, private equity real estate firm in Ghana, Property Investor Africa (PiA)(UK) and BlackIvy LLC (Washington D.C.).
