Yasir Al Balushi
Yasir is Accounting Lecturer in Sultan Qaboos University, College of Economic & Political Sciences and has been with the department of Accounting since 2009. Prior to joining the department as teaching and research assistant in 2007, he worked for Bank Muscat as general account officer. Yasir’s research interests are in the area of corporate governance and audit committee effectiveness and characteristics. Yasir teaches courses in the area of management accounting, financial accounting, and auditing. He holds master of commerce degree in accounting from the University of New South Wales, Australian School of Business, and Bachelor of Science in accounting from Sultan Qaboos University. Yasir’s strengths are his knowledge of cost analysis and his analytical ability in corporate governance effectiveness.
