Working with Accreditation and Professional bodies

Working with Accreditation and Professional bodies

Henley is one of only 53 business schools globally to hold triple-accredited status from the UK, European and US awarding bodies.

In addition we constantly seek out professional feedback and accreditation for programme and course content. The following examples show our passion for facing industry practice and needs:

Planet Informatics

Planet Informatics is a student led innovation, in collaboration with, and supported by, the British Computer Society, which focuses on Henley Business School Informatics students, practising professionals (Alumni), researchers and lecturers. This is the first virtual community of its type and offer cutting edge mentoring support for current students and student alumni.

Satisfying ACA, CIMA and ICAEW requirements

All UG programmes are accredited by ACA, CIMA and ICAEW. Our BA Accounting and Business degree, for example, is a four-year programme that has been developed to give students the benefit of going to university, getting paid work experience and fast-tracking their careers. The programme, developed in partnership with PwC (the UK’s leading professional services organisation) and the ICAEW, is currently the fastest degree route to becoming a Chartered Accountant in the UK. Aside from gaining extensive business knowledge and practical experience, students leave university with:

  • A Henley Business School degree in Accounting and Business
  • A full-time job offer from PwC (if graduating with a 2.1)
  • Significant progress on Associated Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification
  • Exemption from 12 of the 15 ICAEW professional examinations.

Professional Certificate in Business Analysis Practice

All taught Informatics-based masters require students to understand ‘Business Domain and Requirements Analysis’. After redesigning the module content, anyone now passing this module at an acceptable level is automatically eligible for a British Computer Society (BCS) Professional Certificate in Business Analysis Practice.

Active staff involvement in professional bodies include:
