The Reading Real Estate Foundation

The School benefits enormously from the work of the Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF). RREF is a unique and forward-thinking educational charity, established to support real estate and planning education at the University of Reading.

RREF is in regular contact with more than 8,000 individual alumni, both here in the UK and around the world. RREF is invaluable in developing and maintaining strong links between the School of Real Estate & Planning, its students, and the industry our graduates will join.

RREF organise career development and recruitment events for current Real Estate & Planning students throughout the year. These include an evening lectures series with key industry speakers and an annual Careers Fair which is attended by more than 30 firms. The RREF staff work closely with our Careers Development Advisor to offer help with work experience and summer placements. They also co-ordinate our highly successful Mentoring Programme which offers all our students the opportunity to have a one-to-one professional mentor in the real estate industry.

RREF also run the Pathways to Property initiative which aims to widen access to the property profession and is targeted at academically-able students from non-traditional backgrounds. Pathways events include talks by Pathways to Property Ambassadors and Industry Professionals to schools and colleges and our annual residential Summer School.

In addition to the student centred events, RREF also organises alumni events including the RREF Breakfast Forums, the RREF Annual Golf Day and the RREF Annual Dinner.
