Description
'A safe, sustainable and prosperous future depends on systems transformation that will require enormous, determined and enduring effort from all corners of society, including business.'
World Business Council for Sustainable Development
Companies have a vital role in building a sustainable future and the business case for action is clear. Global industry is currently responsible for 60% of total carbon emissions, while over half the world’s total GDP is dependent on nature and, therefore, exposed to risks posed by climate change and biodiversity loss.
What’s not clear is how we redesign business – from energy use, to supply chain sourcing, to manufacturing – to have a net positive impact on the planet and contribute to a sustainable economy. In this session, we explore how to lead the radical innovation needed to tackle the complex challenges posed by climate change and generate truly breakthrough solutions.
