Henley Greenshoots Seed Finance Award Scheme
The Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship is pleased to announce the launch of the Henley 'Greenshoots' Seed Finance Award Scheme.
Branded 'Greenshoots' and sponsored by Santander Universities, the Scheme aims to nurture and feed the green shoots of start-ups founded by students and recent graduates by providing those who are selected with an award of £1,000 in cash.
The Scheme is a non-dilutive financial award that recognises start-ups with potential to grow and become sustainable businesses.
The Scheme is for businesses recently launched by students and graduates of the University of Reading including the Henley Business School and in particular those businesses occupying the Henley Start-Up Business Incubator at the Thames Valley Science Park, those occupying the Entrepreneurship Hub and those who will have participated in IDEAFEST and the Summer Start-Up Boot Camp that have gone on to start a business.
The businesses will have been incorporated at/after 1 August 2016 and meet the eligibility criteria as more specifically described below.
Entries will comprise of a short form business plan of no more than 2,000 words submitted on an entry form.
Entries that meet the judging criteria will be invited for interview at which each founder will have 10 minutes to present their business to the panel. The interviews will be carried out by a panel from Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship, chaired by Jurek Sikorski.
