Gravitas is an ancient word, and a key leadership skill in uncertain times. Gravitas allows you to show up calm, centred and in control – the credible, reassuring pilot of the plane, no matter how daunting the turbulence around you.

Whether you need authority in front of senior stakeholders to sell your vision, or to communicate with warmth and energy to your team, this session will give you the tools to speak so others will listen.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• harness mind, breath and body so you can speak with gravitas
• find your presence so you embody leadership in a congruent way
• flex your style with people who are different to you

Caroline Goyder is a speaker, coach and author, educated at St John’s College, Oxford. Caroline worked for many years as a voice teacher at the Central School of Speech and Drama and has spent the last ten years developing a system to help her non-acting clients to perform with the same calm, presence and power in everyday life. Clients include BT, HSBC, Coca Cola and Bloomberg TV, and Caroline’s work has been featured in the Financial Times, Daily Telegraph and The Economist. Caroline spoke at TEDxBrixton in 2014, since watched over 4 million times.

Caroline is the founder and creator of the Gravitas Method, and author Gravitas, in which she reveals how to speak so others listen. Using simple techniques to build your gravitas, you will learn how to express yourself clearly with passion and confidence in order to persuade, influence and engage listeners.
