Coaching Research at Henley
European Coaching Research Project

We are delighted to launch the European Coaching Research project.
A copy of the Executive Report can be found here.

In addition to the Executive Report we are working on a series of National Reports including Poland, Hungary, Italy and Germany, and by more academic offerings in journals and at conferences. Jonathan Passmore has been travelling Europe speaking at events over the past year promoting Henley and our research and has spoken at 24 conferences over this period including Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria, Poland and Ireland. Jonathan is continuing his international speaking engagements in 2018 with conference events booked across Europe including Finland, Germany and Switzerland.

Coaching Ethics
We also have a large project on coaching ethics underway. This involves four separate studies, exploring how coaches and supervisors think about ethical choices and how they make ethical decisions. You can read about Jonathan’s work in this area here.

Further papers are in the pipeline. If you would be interested in attending a one day workshop with Jonathan on ethics and ethical decision making you can express your views at

Mastering Executive Coaching
Jonathan is also working on a new book with Brain Underhill, MD of CoachSource and Marshall Goldsmith which will be due out next year. We are hoping to get both co-authors to Henley to talk about their work during the coming 18-24 months.

Is the summer a distant memory?
We asked in the last newsletter for your views on a Mindfulness Retreat - exploring mindfulness, its application in the world of work and how you can use it to enhance your personal practice and life style.
The feedback so far has been very positive but we are keen to hear more of your thoughts on this. A short questionnaire can be found here -

New Year Resolutions
The feedback from our post about how you wanted to use the membership area was that you wanted more posts and more events.

We have increased our free events in response to your feedback, making access easier for those who live a distance for Henley through the webinars and also adding networking events like the December networking event with Prof David Clutterbuck.

The latest blog on New Year resolutions - Be happier in 2018 can be accessed in the Points of View section in the members area. Check it out and post your views. We would also invite you to post your own articles, research or links to great research papers or videos.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas!

How supplier partnerships can enhance the benefits of working collaboratively with external organisations

17 October 2022
In the past, many manufacturers regarded their suppliers with some suspicion, almost as adversaries. Little loyalty was shown to the suppliers; consequently, the supplier was never certain about their future relationship with an organisation. Often the purchasing or procurement department would see their role as screwing the best deal possible from a supplier.
