The Boot Camp, which took place between 24-28 June 2019, is a hands-on, week-long course for students and local budding entrepreneurs to help them learn about setting up a business from scratch. The course gives participants the confidence and skills to start a business and make money doing what they love by covering everything a business owner needs to know, from starting a business with no money through to marketing with social media.

Over 60 attendees took part in the Boot Camp and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. By the end of the week 86% of attendees considered themselves as either ready or almost ready to begin trading with their business and several participants shared their 'lightbulb' moment where everything clicked into place and they gained a clear vision as to how they could progress their business idea foward, in sectors as varied as catering to software design!

To find out more about how the Boot Camp benefitted students and local residents, read the full report here and have a look at the news release for the event here.
