Dr Christian van Nieuwerburgh is visiting faculty at Henley Business School. He is a highly sought-after executive coach, researcher, and educational consultant with significant leadership experience.
Christian is particularly interested in intercultural coaching, the creation of coaching cultures and the use of coaching within educational settings. He publishes extensively in the field of coaching and is the author of An Introduction to Coaching Skills: A Practical Guide (Sage, 2014) and the editor of Coaching in Education: Getting Better Results for Students, Educators and Parents (Karnac, 2012) and Coaching in Professional Contexts (Sage, 2016). He is currently completing two books: The Principles and Practice of Coaching in Islamic Culture (Karnac) and The Leaders’ Handbook for Coaching in Schools (Corwin). Seen as a thought-leader within the fields of coaching and positive psychology, he regularly speaks at conferences in Europe, the US, Australia and the Middle East. Christian is the editor-in-chief of Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice.
