DBA Research Title:

The utility of artificial intelligence in organisational risk management

A risk management and governance practitioner with over 30 years' experience in public practice now researching socio-technical aspects of AI in risk management. Former big four partner, Chartered Accountant, managing director of consultancy serving wide range of organisations in the private and public sector (UN bodies, EU institutions, humanitarian organisations).

As a result of his research on the DBA, David Pike has recently been awarded the Aramco Internal Audit Dissertation Scholarship.

This is a highly competitive award for doctoral candidates in auditing, accounting, business, or related fields whose research advances the theory and practice of internal auditing. Administered by the Internal Audit Foundation, it awards up to $10,000 to a small number of recipients each year, recognising outstanding, original research with the potential to influence both academic understanding and professional practice in the global internal audit profession.
