Dr Alaaeldin Ahmed is a Lecturer in Accounting at Henley Business School, specializing in financial reporting. He completed his PhD in Accounting at the University of Essex, where his research focused on the determinants and consequences of pension accounting regulation and disclosure reforms.

Dr Alaaeldin's research interests include financial reporting, pension accounting, textual analysis, and narrative disclosure. He has presented his work at renowned conferences such as the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) and the Financial Reporting and Business Communication (FRBC) conference.

A Fellow of the ACCA and a qualified Chartered Accountant, Dr Alaaeldin brings over a decade of experience in corporate reporting and controlling. His professional background spans roles with large multinational corporations (MNCs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both the UK and internationally.

Since 2021, Dr Alaaeldin has taught and supervised students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at institutions like Coventry University and the University of Essex. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education (PGCert APHE) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

In addition to his academic work, Dr Alaaeldin serves as the Secretariat Manager for the African Accounting and Finance Association (AAFA).
