Ian has over 30 years’ experience in the Human Resources profession working with FTSE 100 companies through to small entrepreneurial organisations both in the private and public sectors.

Ian has over 30 years’ experience in the Human Resources profession working with FTSE 100 companies through to small entrepreneurial organisations both in the private and public sectors. As an HR Director, Ian has a track record of devising strategic HR interventions to support business strategy and objectives in both global complex blue chip and small entrepreneurial organisations. He has driven and implemented intricate organisational and development change processes successfully and with political sensitivity.

Throughout his career, he has specialised in talent, coaching and learning and development. He also gained a broad base of HR and operational experience having worked for Shell, Diageo and Kingfisher. In these organisations he managed large scale change programmes and complex employee relations. Other corporate roles included Fujitsu and dunnhumby (part of Tesco) and Lloyds Banking Group, where he specialised in talent, leadership and change agendas with a heavy emphasis on coaching senior leaders.

Undertaking these roles has enabled Ian to gain a global perspective, coupled with in country executive development programme deliveries throughout the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the USA.

Most recently Ian headed up Henley’s development suite of programmes designed for seniors leaders, where he had responsibility for the overall product portfolio, it’s direction and strategy. He has worked extensively with directors on a 1:1 basis using coaching, facilitating, action learning sets and running top team-building events. He has driven and implemented intricate organisational and development change processes successfully and with political sensitivity.
