Julie Flower
Visiting tutor, MSc in Coaching for Behavioural Change | Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching

Julie Flower is a leadership and team development practitioner with a background in public service and third sector leadership. She is an ICF-credentialed coach, with a specialism in improvisation and navigating complexity.
As an external coaching tutor at Henley, Julie teaches on the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching and the MSc in Coaching for Behavioural Change. She is also a co-editor of Coaching Tools (volumes 1 and 2) and the more recent Coaching Tools, Volume 3 (2023). She runs a leadership development practice, The Specialist Generalist, and works internationally as an associate with leading consultancies and flagship leadership development programmes.
Julie is an experienced improvised comedy performer, including with award-winning Improbotics, a group which explores AI and human interaction, and duo Twinprov. She can regularly be seen making things up on stage at festivals, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Her MSc research explored how coaches experience participating in improv theatre exercises. She has shared her research and practice on improv and coaching with a wide range of audiences, including the British Psychological Society, the ICF UKConference, the Association for Coaching and the London Coaching Group.
