Matthew Pugh is a Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Advanced Schema Therapist, Voice Dialogue facilitator, researcher, and trainer. He is lead for clinical resource development at Psychology Tools and the joint programme lead for CBT for Eating Disorders at University College London. He has extensive experience working in senior leadership roles, previously acting as lead therapist in one of the largest NHS outpatient eating disorder services.

Matthew is a leading chairwork practitioner and has provided national and international training in chairwork for several years. He published widely on the applications of chairwork in psychotherapy, coaching, and supervision. He is the author of ‘Cognitive Behavioural Chairwork: Distinctive Features’, which was published in 2019. He runs a private practice in Buckinghamshire.
