Murat Ospanov is the Centre for Euro-Asian Studies' Representative in Kazakhstan. He was previously a Visiting Researcher at Henley Business School.
Murat's interests lie in the areas of the emerging economy, innovation and technology, with a particular focus on the Euro-Asian region. His research examines the effects of economic sanctions and conflicts on industries, energy security, forced migration and labour markets.
Murat holds 10 years of industry experience in the oil and gas and energy sectors in the Euro-Asian region and is certified in Project Management by the Ernst and Young Academy of Business. He earned a MSc in Petroleum Geoscience at the University of Manchester with Merit and a BSc in Oil and Gas Business at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), Kazakhstan.
