Professor Trudi Elliott CBE MRTPI, is a Chartered Town Planner and lawyer and has a wide-ranging and in-depth knowledge of planning in which she has worked in one capacity or another for twenty years.
Trudi's previous roles included Chief Executive of the Royal Town Planning Institute (2011-2018) and Director of the Government Office for the West Midlands. Trudi was appointed as Chair of the Planning Inspectorate’s Board of Directors in 2018. Trudi also sits on the National Infrastructure Planning Association (NIPA) Policy Council, the University of Warwick Estates Committee and is on the board of Sanctuary Housing Association. She currently chairs the Oxford Joint Planning Law Conference Committee and was a member of the Taylor Review into planning practice guidance in 2013.
