Digital Transformation in Cultural and Creative SMEs
This project promotes the application of digital technologies in art performances and teaching (ADAPT).
The research launched in 2022 and is funded by the Accelerated Knowledge Transfer to Innovate (AKT2I) grant from the Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Network.
The project aims at promoting the combination of digital technologies and art performances and accelerating business model innovation in cultural and creative SMEs. It uses the production of a dance showcase as a basis to apply digital technologies and business modelling to the business partner company, UK China Performing Arts. This enables the establishment of a novel B2B value proposition and delivers a management toolkit for the company's further transformation.
Besides the commercial impact, the project also extends the business partner's resources and network. This creates further opportunities for cross-disciplinary co-operation and cross-cultural communication. The project report has been published by Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Network and can be accessed here: https://www.ktp-uk.org/accelerated-knowledge-transfer-to-innovate-akt2i-pilot-scheme-2/
