'Innovation Ecosystem and Global Strategy' Leadership, Organisations and Behaviour Research Seminar
The department of Leadership, Organisations and Behaviour (LOB) would like to invite you to a research seminar presented by Professor Ke Rong, the Deputy Director at the Institute of Economics in the School of Social Sciences at Tsinghua University, China, and a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge's Institute for Manufacturing.

Professor Rong earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge following the completion of his bachelor's degree at Tsinghua University. Before his appointment at Tsinghua University, he held positions as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter and Bournemouth University in the UK and was a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School, USA.
His primary research interests include the internationalisation of business and innovation ecosystems, the digital economy and data ecosystems. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals, such as the Journal of International Business Studies (UTD24), Production and Operations Management (UTD24), Management and Organization Review and the Journal of International Management. He has also been the Principal Investigator for more than 20 research projects, funded by the National Science Foundation of China, the British Academy and leading companies like Huawei, Bytedance, Haier, Tencent and China Mobile. These projects have explored business ecosystems and platform strategies across various emerging industries on a global scale, including the digital economy, integrated chips, data markets, 3D printing, electric vehicles, mobile internet and the sharing economy.
Professor Rong's presentation focuses on 'Innovation Ecosystem and Global Strategy'. He is presenting this topic during his research visit to the Henley Centre for Euro-Asian Studies. The presentation draws upon his numerous publications in world-leading journals, culminating in a discussion that intertwines subjects such as the internationalisation of ecosystems, China's Belt and Road Initiative policy, the globalisation of data and ecosystem governance. This presentation offers a comprehensive perspective, shedding light on the intricate dynamics of global innovation and strategy.
The seminar will be held on 18 March 2024, 1:00pm, in room LG01 of the Henley Business School building, Whiteknights campus.
