Heads Together and Row: Under 100 nautical miles to go!

Day 50 mtime20190130165628

Heads Together and Row are officially down to the final 100 nautical miles of their 3,000-mile Atlantic challenge.

It is day 50 at sea for the team and they were in good spirits when we spoke to skipper Toby earlier today, although the weather hasn't quite been as good as they'd hoped over the past 24 hours.

While we haven't had an ETA from the race officials just yet, early indications from the GPS tracker suggest they will arrive at the finish line on Friday afternoon, although Toby said they were hoping to make landfall on Friday morning.

We're keeping our fingers crossed the weather gods are a bit kinder to the team and send some good strong winds their way!

As of 1600 GMT on day 50, here’s how the team are getting on:

Position: 17 degrees 3.50 N, 060 degrees 2.91 W

Speed/Direction: 2.0 knots @ 260 degrees

Distance rowed: 2627 Nautical Miles (3023 Miles)

Distance to go: 98 Nautical Miles (112 Miles)

12th in Fours crews

17th overall
