Henley Business School, part of University of Reading, has been rated as the Best University for Work Experience 2023/24 in this year’s RateMyPlacement Awards.

Henley’s Careers Team, alongside their University of Reading counterparts, were recognised for the support and resources they offer students in gaining valuable, relevant work experience while they study.

The awards, which recognise the best universities, employers and student schemes for work experience, were hosted by British Olympian Nicola Adams OBE and Ollie Sidwell, co-founder of RateMyPlacement (RMP).

Henley was part of the winning team crowned the best University for Work Experience; Toyota GB was named best Small to Medium-Sized Scheme; and Savills was named Best Student Employer.

Helen Slingsby, Careers Coach at Henley Business School, said: “This is truly cheering news. It is indicative of Henley Careers’ and the wider business school’s dedication to supporting its students to find work experience; the fantastic resources available and the coaching we do both within and without the curriculum to transform lives.”

A total of 52 students reviewed the University’s career support services and was the only university to score four out of five for both the resource and support questions given to students.

The RateMyPlacement awards have taken place for the last 20 years, but this was the first year the Best Universities for Work Experience category was included. The nominations revealed the universities that excel in the resources and support they provide to students.
