Ali Hamza is an AI Software Engineer in the Informatics Research Centre at Henley Business School, with expertise in full-stack development, applied machine learning, and AI-driven healthcare systems. He collaborates with NHS Royal Berkshire Hospital on RMD-Health (NIHR i4i), a machine learning-enabled decision-support system to improve the early detection and referral of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. His work applies Artificial Intelligence, particularly Natural Language Processing and clinical decision-support, to real-world challenges in healthcare delivery. He is dedicated to building secure, scalable applications that support clinical workflows, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the efficiency of care, while keeping these systems reliable, transparent, and safe. With a strong foundation in full-stack development, he designs and deploys end-to-end systems that bring machine learning into practical, production-ready use. Beyond healthcare, he is interested in broader applications of machine learning across anomaly detection, secure systems, and data-intensive platforms.
