DBA Research Topic:

The Role of Middle Managers in Managing Stress and the Well-Being of Lower-Level Staff in the National Health Service (NHS), Focusing on the Corporate Division of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

My name is Ayo Ajanaku. I am a part-time student pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). In my professional capacity, I serve as the Senior IT Service Support Manager within the NHS's Information Technology department.
My journey towards doctoral studies is deeply rooted in my childhood aspirations, which have fuelled my ambition and commitment to this path. Having previously worked as the IT Service Desk Manager, I developed a keen interest in exploring the role of middle managers in managing stress and promoting the well-being of lower-level staff. My research focuses on the corporate division of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
My study can potentially impact professional practice by advocating for more comprehensive NHS induction processes, clearly defined roles, and specialised training programs for middle managers. These initiatives aim to enhance the middle manager's role in stress management and employee well-being and contribute to ongoing discussions.
