Clare Calderan FCA Associate Professor in Financial Management

Clare Calderan holds a BSc in Engineering from Durham University and subsequently transitioned into accounting and finance. She is a Fellow of the ICAEW, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (PGCLT).

Prior to moving into higher education, Clare built her professional experience in both restructuring and finance, working in insolvency at Deloitte & Touche and later in Investment Banking at HSBC.

Clare has taught extensively across professional and university programmes. She has lectured for ICAEW, CIMA and ACCA qualifications, specialising in financial management and management accounting. She has also designed and delivered in-house training programmes for interns, graduates and executives at leading financial institutions including Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, Deutsche Bank and Rothschild. Her areas of expertise include accounting, asset management, equities, fixed income, derivatives and business valuation.

More recently, Clare's work has focused on developing commercial and financial acumen within large global organisations. She has codesigned and delivered executive education programmes for clients including Accenture, Bellway Homes, Mondelēz International, RollsRoyce and Unilever.

Clare continues to work with senior leaders and executives through the Henley MBA programmes and with corporate clients globally, helping organisations build financial literacy, strengthen commercial decision-making and translate strategy into business performance.
