Elena Ilyushina is a Lecturer at Henley Business School.
Her professional interests explore global business services and the continued evolution of operating models enhanced by digital technologies and artificial intelligence, enabling step-change improvements in operational efficiency and internal customer experience. More broadly, Elena focuses on how organisations navigate complex transformation journeys, including the approaches they take to change management and senior stakeholder engagement.
Having gained more than 20 years' experience in senior finance and transformation roles, Elena lectures at Henley Business School, supporting senior professionals on the Senior Leader Apprenticeship across strategy, leading responsibly and finance. She holds a Masters degree in Finance and Economics.
Elena has held senior regional roles across business services, finance transformation and project management. She has led teams across treasury, financial control and record-to-report, most recently spearheading a large-scale business services transformation, including the establishment of a shared service centre in Europe. Her specialism is in working with multinational organisations undergoing significant change, including Danone, PwC, and Holcim.
A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Elena is also a Fellow of the Institute of Management Accountants. Her experience includes designing and implementing target operating models, leading complex regional transformations and managing change across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups.
