Helen is a leadership development specialist with professional facilitation and coaching skills. She has more than 20 years Asia based experience, as a senior HR practitioner in international companies. Her focus is working with high potential and senior managers in global organisations to help them adapt to, support and lead major strategic changes. This is achieved through high impact personal development of these key executives equipping them for major career challenges and encouraging them to take creative risks, ‘raise their game’ and go beyond self-imposed limitations.
Her approach is challenging, innovative and persistent in the pursuit of excellence. She enjoys working in partnership with clients to deliver innovative programmes, with flexible learning processes, which are integrated with other organisational development initiatives and help the business to meet significant strategic objectives. Creativity and innovation are a special interest for Helen; in particular she helps managers to establish creative climates in groups and to develop their intuition in problem-solving and decision making.
Helen’s previous career was as General Manager, People Development with Jardine Matheson. Based in Hong Kong she was responsible for designing and implementing an integrated approach to management development and strategic resourcing to support rapid expansion of the Group’s portfolio of businesses. Her grounding as an HR professional was with Cathay Pacific Airways and the Central Electricity Generating Board.
Helen has a degree in engineering, an MBA and she is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has also trained as a person-centred therapist and works as a volunteer counsellor in a local charity. She is a qualified user of MBTI, FIRO-B, OPQ and SDI.
