Lukas is a Lecturer in Real Estate within the Department of Real Estate & Planning.

Lukas studies topics in the intersection of Urban Economics and Urban and Regional Planning. In his research, he utilises both partial-equilibrium econometric tools and full-equilibrium quantitative spatial models.

Before joining University of Reading, Lukas studied PhD in Economic Geography at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to that, he worked as a city planner at the Prague Institute of Planning and Development and for Deloitte Czech Republic in Real Estate Advisory.

Lukas would consider accepting new PhD students with research interests in Urban Economics broadly defined.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Economic Geography, the London School of Economics and Political Science
  • MA in Applied Economics, Centre for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI)
  • Master's degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Czech Technical University in Prague (graduated with honours)
