Mary Newbold is a Lecturer at Henley Business School and a Programme Director for the Senior Leader Apprenticeship (Business Administration).

An experienced higher education teaching practitioner, Mary has deep expertise in the delivery and management of higher and degree apprenticeship programmes and work-based learning programmes. She leads and manages across a wide stakeholder network to ensure teaching and learning excellence across the Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme.

Having joined Henley Business School in 2018, Mary has successfully led teams and individuals to champion teaching and learning excellence across the apprenticeship portfolio. She is committed to supporting leaders and managers to apply their learning to real world challenges, thus enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of problems that emerge at the intersection of organsiations and societies.

In her teaching practice, Mary specialises in modules which focus on responsible (values-based, ethical) leadership. She is currently module convenor for Contemporary Issues: Ethics and Sustainability for the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship Applied Management.

Alongside her full time Lecturer role, Mary is completing a PhD in English and Humanities at Birkbeck College, University of London. Her doctoral thesis will offer a cultural perspeective on the socioeconomic and ethical implications of contemporary digital cultures.
