- The Performance of the Listed Housebuilding Sector and Housing Supply
There is a knowledge gap in the financial performance of housebuilding firms. The research aims to take relevant theory and methodology from academic finance and accountancy, and apply it to the housebuilding sector, whilst taking account of real estate-specific factors such as the planning system and supply inelasticity.
One specific goal is to quantify, through an asset-pricing approach, the importance of land holdings on the financial performance of housebuilders.
