Dr Obiageli Heidelberger-Nkenke is an Associate Lecturer in Leadership at Henley Business School.

Obiageli's research interests include intersectionality in leadership diversity, leadership identity and emergent leadership. Her teaching experience covers undergraduate and postgraduate modules in a number of areas, including organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship and leadership apprenticeship.

Prior to her time at Henley Business School, Obiageli worked in career consultation, professional services recruitment and the banking sector, with more than 10 years of industry experience. Her PhD research explored the progression experiences of black female leaders in mid- and senior management, focusing on the supportive and hindering involvement of key others. She is currently working on paper publications based on her PhD thesis.

Obiageli has presented her research at several conferences, such as the 2022 Academy of Management (AOM) Conference in Seattle, USA, where she was also the symposium organiser of 'leadership and progression experiences by leaders from marginalised groups'. She has collaborated on various research projects with Henley Centre for Leadership, such as Work 2028: Trends Dilemmas and Choices, which produced an industry report for Deutsche Telekom, Germany, and Detecon International.
