Volunteering

By giving their time to help RREF our volunteers enrich the student experience and strengthen the industry. Their support invaluable.

In 2018/19, 450 volunteers supported RREF giving more than 8,200 hours of their time through mentoring, supporting our committees, providing placements, speaking at events and lectures, and much more.

To register to be a RREF Mentor, please complicate the application here: https://live.henley.ac.uk/page/apply-to-be-a-rref-mentor

If you are interested in supporting RREF as a volunteer in another capacity, please get in touch at rref-info@henley.ac.uk

Our mentors work with an individual mentee to offer insights into the industry, advice on job applications, CVs and interviews, work shadowing opportunities, site visits, networking opportunities and guidance. The RREF Mentoring programme is one of the key assets that sets our graduates apart from others.

Employability is dramatically improved when students spend some time in a real working environment. By providing opportunities for our students to work for a week or more, our industry partners are making a huge impact on the prospects for our students.

Throughout the placement, I was able to increase my workplace skills, teaching me how to properly communicate in the workplace as an effective team member, and enabling me to gain an insight into the operations of a large developer.
