The intention of HARP is to take an inclusive approach to research in accounting. Inclusive means both across disciplines in interdisciplinary research as well as to be open for research in accounting education and collaboration with practitioners.

HARP is focusing on the role of accounting within society being open to collaborative research with other disciplines, researchers, practitioners and organisations.
The Henley Centre for Accounting Research & Practice (HARP) sits in the Accounting group within the School of Business Informatics, Systems & Accounting (BISA) at Henley Business School, University of Reading although it operates independently from both.
