What our students say

Joana Mattos de Britto Pereira

MSc Management

"One of the most valuable aspects of my MSc Management at Henley Business School has been learning that responsible management is not a separate business function, but a mindset that should shape every decision an organisation makes. Throughout the programme, we explored how commercial success can be achieved while considering ethical responsibilities, long-term sustainability, and the interests of multiple stakeholders.

Working on consultancy and strategy projects challenged me to think beyond financial performance. Whether analysing international expansion strategies or developing recommendations for businesses, I learned to evaluate the wider social and environmental impact of managerial decisions alongside their commercial viability.

As the founder of a surface pattern design studio, these lessons have also influenced my own entrepreneurial perspective. I now think more critically about building long-term relationships with clients, creating value responsibly, and making decisions that balance profitability with integrity. The programme has reinforced that responsible leadership is not only about managing organisations effectively, but also about creating positive and sustainable impact.

This experience has given me greater confidence that the principles of responsible management will continue to guide both my future career and the growth of my business."

MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation

“At Henley, I’ve learned that business isn’t just about strategy or profit—it’s fundamentally about people, purpose, and long-term responsibility. Learning about ethics, sustainability, and responsible leadership encouraged me to reflect not only on what I want to build, but who I want to serve and why."

Omar Alamshan

“The emphasis Henley places on responsible leadership has encouraged me to reflect on the long-term impact of decisions, the importance of stakeholder engagement, and the value of acting with integrity even when faced with pressure or ambiguity. This has shaped the way I approach both academic work and real-world challenges, seeking to balance performance with purpose.”
