Responsible Business Education at Henley
At Henley Business School, our Vision is to be a global community of change-makers engaged in shaping a sustainable and just world of business.

Our Values define us and emphasise the way that we act responsibly, fairly and in consideration of our impact on others and our societies
Henley’s Strategy for 2025-30 has responsible business education at its very heart and this commitment is also embodied by our status as an Advanced Signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), our engagement with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and our emphasis on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, including the implementation of our EDI Strategy and the continuation of our Athena Swan Charter award.

Developing the next generation of leaders to engage fully with issues relating to sustainability, ethics and responsibility
Henley’s degree programmes and executive education integrate responsible business concepts and practices.
We are particularly proud to be leaders in launching innovative degree programmes that have responsible management education at their core, including our MSc in Climate Change, Sustainable Business, and Green Finance.
Our dynamic and engaging global community of more than 100,000 alumni in over 160 countries includes a wide range of people working in roles that focus on sustainability and responsible business, whose career choices have been influenced by studying with Henley.

Responsible business is deeply embedded in our research and practices
The Centre for Business Ethics and Sustainability (CBES) is Henley’s dedicated hub for advancing research into responsible business and, as a critical element of the future of work, responsible business is also a key focus of our World of Work Institute (WoWI).
We organise a range of RME-focused research conferences and seminars to allow us to share our insights with the wider research and practitioner community, fostering a collaborative environment for innovation and impact.

Supporting University of Reading's work related to climate change and sustainability
As one of the academic Schools of the University of Reading, we are also committed to and play a part in supporting the University’s work relating to Climate Change and to Sustainability, which has won numerous awards including Sustainable University of the Year 2025 in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 and being ranked in the world’s top 50 universities in its support of sustainable global development by the Times Higher Education (THE) Global Impact Rankings 2025.
The University is committed to the development of sustainable practices in order to minimise its carbon footprint and prides itself on its achievements with regards to mitigating its impact on the environment over time, with carbon emissions reductions exceeding 60% against a baseline set in 2009.
