Description
This hands-on workshop explores using experimentation to drive strategy execution in organisations. We examine how experimentation can be used to reduce uncertainty and manage risk by uncovering what really works – and what doesn’t!
In the workshop, Dr Andrew MacLennan will introduce a systematic process to explore related strategic outcomes, reveal important uncertainties and formulate practical experiments to test solutions. You will be supported to apply the concepts and methods to your own challenges and ideas.
This workshop is ideally suited to pairs/trios from member organisations, who can apply this methodology live, to ideas you would like to test, and is equally appropriate for individual attendees.
Learning Outcomes
This session will help you:
- understand the use of experimentation in organisational contexts and its role in supporting agile strategy execution
- to systematically explore outcomes and uncover key uncertainties
- understand how to select, frame and design focused, practical experiments
Who is this for
For leaders at a range of levels who are involved in shaping and/or executing strategy who recognise the need to acknowledge and manage decision uncertainty, want to make strategy more dynamic and agile, and want to build organisations capable of continuously learning and able to optimise outcomes.
