As a manager, the challenge is always how to bring more to the table without spending more money. Lean is the answer. This Lean Playroom session reminds us of the key Lean techniques that we can use to improve our business processes and save real money. Starting with how to operate as a Lean leader, we look at a whole range of techniques you can bring to bear to squeeze every last ounce out of your business, while simultaneously making it easier for you and your team. We’ll apply clever business transformation techniques and look at how to make proper use of the latent talent in your team. This is the simple and repeatable secret of success.

By the end of this session you will be able to:

• use specific Lean techniques to remove waste and improve flow
• identify bottlenecks in your business process and how to overcome them
• create a continuous improvement culture in your team

Sharon Hitch has worked closely with The Henley Partnership for over 12 years. She has a wealth of experience in leadership development, having delivered programmes for over 30 years at Prudential, Yellow Pages and in the Civil Service, to name a few. Sharon currently heads up the Lean Engagement programme at Lonza and will share the many techniques this organisation is using to engage all employees in a Lean culture.
