Description

Based on Dr Mark Powell’s latest book, The Fifth Phase (2023), this virtual workshop will explore the development of data, analytics and AI, as well as the challenges HR organisations face using this technology to achieve significant transformation in business outcomes. Despite recent bad press on the risks of AI, few organisations have actively used the potential of what AI and analytics can deliver; instead, they are inhibited by their own issues around structures and cultures.

Employing a range of case studies from both the private and public sectors, we will explore the nature of AI – its potential as well as the risks and challenges it represents. What should organisations and leaders do to take advantage of the world of data and analytics in the future?

The workshop will explore the potential to drive better HR-related outcomes by focusing on the insights that have value for organisations. Using the ‘value mapping’ approach, we will map out and explore the potential for AI insights to drive step change towards truly transformational HR outcomes.
