Professor to join Effective Governance Forum’s Management Council
Professor Nada Kakabadse will support the EFG as it aims to reform the way public services are managed.
Nada Kakabadse, Professor of Policy, Governance and Ethics, has joined the Effective Governance Forum’s (EGF) Management Council.
The EGF is a cross party campaign that aims at improving the mechanics of the UK government through reforming management of public services. As well as reform, it wants to see increased productivity, reduced costs and increased voter control at a local level. This is done through reports and research that hold the government to account.
Professor Kakabadse will support the EGF’s mission to advance effective, accountable, and citizen-centred governance across the political spectrum.
Her appointment to the Management Council reflects the Forum’s commitment to strengthening democratic governance through evidence-based insights and cross-sector collaboration. With experience engaging governments, international organisations, and corporate boards, she brings a valuable perspective on how governance systems can be designed to enhance transparency, trust, and public value.
A leading scholar in governance, policy, and ethics, her distinguished record of research and leadership in public- and private-sector governance will inform her new role. She has published extensively on issues at the intersection of governance, ethics, and organisational performance, and her research has informed both academic debate and practical policy development. She has co-authored numerous books and articles on global governance practices, leadership diversity, and the role of boards in navigating complex organisational environments.
