Tessa holds a PhD in the social relations of property from the University of Reading. She has a strong research interest in community participation and governance.

Dr Lynn acts as the post-doc researcher on the “Just neighbourhoods? Under-representation in UK community-led planning.” The project is investigating community-led planning across all four nations of the UK, focusing on local areas where take-up of these initiatives is less common.

Tessa has been involved in numerous research projects covering issues as diverse as affordable housing, community right to bid, neighbourhood planning and participation in the English planning system.
