Corporate involvement

Explore some of the different ways in which your firm can become more involved with RREF.

Corporate Involvement

One of RREF’s key roles is to initiate, facilitate and cultivate strong relations between the Department of Real Estate & Planning and the real estate industry, both in the UK and internationally. As a Department, Real Estate & Planning today benefits immensely from engagement with industry, with a diverse range of companies supporting the innovation and excellence we are renowned for, from speaking to and mentoring current students to attending career fairs and offering prizes for outstanding student academic achievement.

Our Corporate Patrons form a fundamental part of our support network, enabling us to carry out core activities through the generous support of our Patrons, providing current Real Estate & Planning students with a powerful connection to the industry. Playing a key role in sustaining our mentoring programme, bursaries and career development activities, our Corporate Patrons are offered the opportunity to deliver an Evening Lecture to students in the autumn term, in addition to priority positioning at the annual RREF Careers Fair.

Beyond the RREF Corporate Patron programme, we collaborate closely with our real estate network, with many of our corporate supporters hosting RREF Events, including research and industry presentations, facilitating knowledge exchange and interaction across the real estate industry.

Specified Support

We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with corporate supporters in a wide range of ways. From facilitating bursary and scholarship funding to hosting key events, the Real Estate corporate sector represents a fundamental part of our support network. In addition, multiple industry-sponsored prizes are co-ordinated by RREF, encouraging students to maximise their ability and take advantage of our wonderful facilities, faculty and services. There are prizes available for specific coursework, promoting innovative teaching and leading learning practices, as well as graduation prices that celebrate excellence.

Access Internships

We encourage a spread of internships across a number of organisations, large and small so if you would be interested in hosting a student for a placement during the summer of 2020 or would like to receive further information about the scheme itself, please contact the RREF Team.

RREF Careers Fair

The annual RREF Careers Fair offers firms the opportunity to meet with some of the highest achieving and most aspiring students in the UK from the School of Real Estate & Planning at Henley Business School, University of Reading. It has proven to be a continued success over the years with over 300 Real Estate & Planning students attending to talk to the graduate recruitment teams and recent Reading graduates from employers such as Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE, Savills, Knight Frank and BNP Paribas Real Estate.

This fair allows students to engage with industry and to develop their network ahead of internship schemes and graduate placement applications. It also gives participating firms a chance to see the calibre of students who benefit from an education at Henley Business School, University of Reading.

If your company would like to find out more about how to get more involved with RREF and Real Estate & Planning at Reading, please contact the Development team at or on (0118) 378 4069 and we will be happy to discuss opportunities with you in person.
