RREF Careers Fair 2019

One of RREF’s key roles is to initiate, facilitate and cultivate strong relations between the Department of Real Estate & Planning and the real estate industry, both in the UK and internationally. Below is an outline of some of the keys ways in which you can work with RREF.

One of RREF’s key roles is to initiate, facilitate and cultivate strong relations between the Department of Real Estate & Planning and the real estate industry, both in the UK and internationally. As a Department, Real Estate & Planning benefits immensely from engagement with industry from sharing industry knowledge and working with corporates to research and develop innovative solutions to current issues.

We are committed to furthering the advancement of cutting edge research, and RREF Supports a number of PhD REP students with a funded scholarship to start their research career at Henley Business School as well as offering seed funding to start new areas of enquiry by funding activities such as data analysis, fieldworks costs and workshops. Corporate support enables RREF to provide bursaries and scholarships that provides students with financial support to receive a world class education, or through our Pathways to Property scheme that encourages those from non-traditional backgrounds in to the industry. It also provide a key role in offering our students insight to the real world of the industry by hosting internships, participating in evening lectures, attending our Careers Fair as well as supporting multiple industry-sponsored prizes co-ordinated by RREF that are available for specific coursework, promoting innovative teaching and learning practices, as well as graduation prizes that celebrate excellence.

We collaborate closely with our real estate network, with many of our corporate supporters hosting and sponsoring RREF Events, including research and industry presentations, helping to facilitate knowledge exchange and interaction across the real estate industry. We are a registered charity focussed on supporting real estate and planning education at the University of Reading and in creating a more diverse and inclusive business future.
