Economic Diversification in Resource-Rich Countries: Building the Small Business Sector Through Female Participation

The project focuses on economic diversification in Kazakhstan, aiming to transition from a resource-based economy to one that includes a variety of sectors such as manufacturing, services, technology and tourism. This initiative is particularly crucial for the Atyrau region, a significant hub for the country's oil and gas sector.

The goal is to support regional organisations of entrepreneurs in developing policies that foster economic diversification and support the growth of new industries. A key aspect of this project is to disseminate the Centre for Euro-Asian Studies' research, building on previous research projects.
