What you need to know
Overview
The Coach Mentoring for ICF Credential is a live-online mentoring programme designed to supplement coaching qualifications and satisfy the ICF credentialing requirements. The programme is open to all, including Henley alumni, though you will need to have completed a coaching qualification or have significant coaching experience to apply.
This programme will support your initial ACC, PCC or MCC level accreditation with the ICF, and/or your ACC renewal*.
Our expert mentors will support you through the process of completing the required ICF coach mentoring, which will build on your previous coaching education and in turn support your ongoing development as a coach.
*ICF accreditation renewal is required every 3 years; at ACC level, during those 3 years you need to undertake 10 hours of coach mentoring to qualify for renewal, as well as Continuing Coach Education units (CCEUs) such as those offered through the Henley Centre for Coaching – see the ICF website for more information and a full breakdown of renewal requirements.
Key benefits
- Gain confidence and ability in core ICF coaching competencies
- Learn, develop and network with fellow experienced coaches
- Be fully equipped to successfully achieve your ICF credential
- Targeted towards annual ICF credential renewal deadline
Start dates
Candidates should be confident they will be able to attend all sessions when they confirm their place on their chosen cohort – review the session timetable above.
All programmes are subject to limited availability – max. 10 students per cohort. We recommend applying a minimum of 4 weeks before the programme start date to guarantee sufficient time for your enrolment and on-boarding.
Entry requirements
This open programme is suitable for all qualified coaches who are seeking renewal of their ICF accreditation, and require 10 hours of coach mentoring to qualify. It’s also suitable for those who have completed, or are completing, a coach training programme that doesn’t include the ICF-required mentoring element (such as a Level 1 accredited programme, and therefore require coach mentoring hours to achieve their first ICF credential.
Please note: this programme is not suitable for those new to coaching, or as an initial coaching qualification. If that applies to you, then we would suggest instead taking a look at our Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching. Candidates for our Coach Mentoring for ICF Credential programme should already have undertaken 60hrs of coaching education.
Please contact us if you have any questions about your eligibility to attend this programme, and whether your previous coaching programme with Henley already fulfils the mentoring requirement.
Course structure
Delivered over group and 1:1 sessions, the programme covers the core coaching competencies and preparation for applying for your accreditation.
There are 10 hours of group mentoring, delivered over 5 x 2-hour group sessions. See schedule above for specific timings of each cohort.
The 3 hours of 1:1 mentoring are split across 3 x 1-hour sessions, arranged over the duration of the programme.
Please refer to the schedule for the session information and dates.
