Whiteknights campus

You will study on the University of Reading's Whiteknights campus, which was named one of Britain’s top green spaces by the Green Flag Award in 2022, for the twelfth year in a row.

Students will have access to a wide range of facilities, including both the central University library and Henley's own library, as well as on-campus cafes, bars and sports facilities. The Henley Business School building itself hosts a 250-seat conference-standard lecture theatre, research areas and seminar rooms, as well as a cafe for a break between lectures.

“Whiteknights campus is a beautiful green oasis, with its distinctive woodland walks, conservation meadows and large lake. Its appeal stems from both the natural beauty of the landscape to the University's architectural diversity.”

The University has a range of accommodation which is suitable for all students, including mature students, couples and families. We offer a wide range of ensuite, shared bathrooms, catered and self-catered accommodation for postgraduate students to suit your needs. No matter where you choose, you can live in a safe and supported community either on the Whiteknights campus or only a short walk away.

Both our campus and halls of accommodation are only a short walking distance from Reading Town Centre and they are connected by a 24-hour bus service. The Town centre has a range of cafes, restaurants, shops, bars and clubs and hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the famous Reading Festival. It has some of the best retail and entertainment facilities in the South East of England.

“I feel the campus is very self-sufficient and I don’t have to go out for anything, everything is here. The location is also perfect and everything is available close by.”
Taaha Syed, current Henley Masters student

Although the campus has everything you need, our students love to explore nearby towns, such as Oxford and Henley-on-Thames, where our Greenlands campus is located.

London Paddington is only a 25-minute train journey from Reading or you can choose to travel into Central London in luxury on the new Elizabeth line, with Wi-Fi access and air-conditioning. There are also direct transport links with both London Gatwick and London Heathrow airports.
