Time: 13.00 - 14.30
Abstract:
This presentation is a preview of a forthcoming book; the second edition of Entrepreneurship and the Market Economy (first edition 2024). This book models the global economy as a network in which individual entrepreneurs are located at nodal points. The nodes connect segments of demand to production facilities that generate supply. Entrepreneurs extract profit from price-cost margins on the flows of product they control. The model will be explained using diagrams, although a formal mathematical analysis is available too. The presentation will highlight new practical applications of the theory to international business, business strategy and business finance.
