Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship and Reading Entrepreneurs Connect with Over 200 Students at Freshers' Fayre 2019
Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship and Reading Entrepreneurs, the student-led Entrepreneurship Society for all University of Reading students, proved to be extremely popular at Freshers' Fayre 2019, with more than 200 students signing up to join in with the range of entrepreneurial initiatives and find out how they can take the first steps towards launching their own business.

Freshers' Fayre 2019 was held on 25-26 September and is one of the highlights of the student event calendar, with dozens of stalls dedicated to various student societies, initiatives and businesses and more than 1,000 students attending. The HCfE stall showcased several upcoming events, including the IDEAFEST Student Business Idea Competition, the event programme for the Reading Entrepreneurs and an invitation to the Entrepreneurship Vibes event on 22 October 2019, where students across the University of Reading will be gathered to share ideas and experience entrepreneurship in action.
Students that signed up for the stall received a series of benefits, including a free wristband to promote the Entrepreneurship Vibes event, free cake and crisps and even entry into a prize draw. Students that entered the prize draw had the chance to win book vouchers, a bottle of wine and an opportunity to star in an Entrepreneurship Vibes promotional video!
The stall was led by Alex Baker, Jurek Sikorski and Dr Maks Belitski from HCfE and Julia Kala, Tom Huntley, Emily Doyle and Badar El Habza from the Reading Entrepreneurs. Members of the Sswap team that won IDEAFEST 2019 were also present, promoting entrepreneurship and answering the questions of any passing students.
Alex Baker, HCfE's Support Administrator and representative on the stall, said: "It was a real pleasure to reach out to so many enthusiastic students and share how they can get involved with and benefit from our range of entrepreneurial initiatives. We had a lot of interest in our Entrepreneurship Vibes event in particular and we look forward to continue connecting to everyone that signed up and helping them with their entrepreneurial journey."
