New ‘Career Smart’ online course
Henley Careers are launching a new online course which aims to help students get a head start on securing a graduate job.
Career Smart is designed to help students understand the different types of careers open to them. It will guide students through an evaluation of their knowledge and experience and assist them in identifying suitable career paths.
The course contains input from careers experts, current students, recent alumni and employers and provides an opportunity for students to meet their peers online before they arrive on campus. It also explains the graduate recruitment cycle in the UK; for some industries application deadlines can be as early as September – almost a year before graduation.
Career Smart will be available for incoming Master’s students and students entering their final year of study across the University of Reading. They will be emailed directly with details on how to sign up. The course starts on 22 July and requires 2-3 hours study over four weeks
