Alessandra Colucci

With a background in Communication Sciences and over two decades of international experience, Alessandra Colucci has built her career at the intersection of strategic consulting, education, and research.

At 25, she co-founded Queimada, a start-up agency, leading branding and strategy design projects for a wide range of organisations. As a consultant, she later focused on supporting SMEs and start-ups across Europe in launching and internationalising their businesses, including the Oxford-based Buongiorno e Buonasera, a hybrid pizzeria, deli, and mini-market that prompted her relocation from Italy to the UK.

Alongside her consultancy practice, Alessandra has designed and managed postgraduate programmes, led multidisciplinary teams, and lectured in user and market research, brand management, marketing, and communication strategy. She served for over 15 years as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Designer and Manager at IED - Istituto Europeo di Design, and has also taught at La Sapienza, Tor Vergata, and Oxford Brookes University.

Currently a PhD Researcher in Marketing at Henley Business School, funded by the ESRC SEDarc, her research explores how business design can revitalise High Streets and promote sustainable growth for SMEs and start-ups.
