Neill McWilliams is a Henley Business School PhD student in the department of Leadership, Organisations, Behaviour and Reputation.
His main areas of research interest relate to good governance practice and specifically the role of the chair in ensuring board effectiveness and board member dynamics, covering the chair, CEO, senior independent director, non-executive director and company secretary roles. Further areas of interest include corporate governance and regulatory developments with FTSE350 companies, the chair as leader of the board and chair and shareholder/ownership interactions.
He holds an MBA from Henley Business School, awarded in 2014, and previously earned an MSc in Finance and Administration from the University of West London in 1999. Neill is also a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, for whom he acts as an advisor on educational developments, and lectures widely on governance related topics.
